Maintaining the varnished solid ash wood half-sphere and the varnished cork tray

Before any action, remember to remove dust with a microfiber cloth. Do not use a vacuum cleaner to dust as it could scratch the lacquer.

CAUTION: Varnished solid ash wood and varnished cork are sensitive to stains caused by colored liquids (coffee, tea, wine), oils and greases (food), candles, wax or prolonged humidity (flowerpot).

For regular cleaning, we recommend using a soft damp cloth or sponge and dry with a soft dry cloth.

CAUTION: Do not use the abrasive side of the sponge or any other object that may be abrasive. Do not use solvents or alcohol to clean. Do not scrub and avoid making circles. It is advised to follow the direction of the wood.

To restore the shine of the wooden half-sphere, we recommend soaking a cotton cloth with black tea mixed with hot water. Let the water cool, apply and let dry.

To remove stains, we recommend using a sponge with Marseille soap mixed with warm water. Then rinse with a soft damp cloth and dry with a soft dry cloth.

To remove scratches, we recommend using a nut (the fruit in the shell) by removing the shell and rubbing the fruit on the scratch with light pressure.

Maintaining chrome steel tubes

For regular cleaning, we recommend soaking a cotton cloth with Marseille soap mixed with lukewarm water. Rinse with a soft damp cloth.

To restore the shine, we recommend soaking a cotton cloth with table oil. Rinse with a soft damp cloth.

Maintaining the hemp rope scratching post

In order to remove ingrained hair and dust, we recommend using a clothes roller regularly.

For regular cleaning, we recommend soaking a cotton cloth with liquid Marseille soap mixed with lukewarm water. Rinse with a soft damp cloth.

Maintaining the velvet bedding and the velvet cushion

In order to remove embedded hair and dust from the velvet, we recommend using a clothes roller.

For regular cleaning of the bedding, we recommend soaking a cotton cloth with liquid Marseille soap mixed with warm water. Rinse with a soft damp cloth and dry immediately with a clean, dry cloth.

CAUTION: Do not rub too vigorously and do not wring out the velvet as this may distort it.

For regular cleaning of the cushion, we recommend that you put it in the washing machine following these instructions: delicate mode, maximum temperature: 30°, do not put in the dryer, bleach is not allowed.

CAUTION: Once out of the washing machine, please do not wring it out. We advise you to dry it flat to preserve it from distorting.

To remove grease stains from velvet, we advise you to spray degreaser on the stain after having absorbed the excess substance with an absorbent paper towel. Wait 1 minute and rub. Finally, rub the area with a cloth soaked in a mixture of water and mild soap to remove any remaining degreaser.

To remove coffee, ketchup, biros or other stains from velvet, we recommend rubbing firmly in a circular motion with a cloth soaked in a solution of water and Marseille soap after having absorbed the excess substance with an absorbent paper towel.

The hemp rope / velvet bedding on this base is fixed to a wooden tray. The wooden tray is held in place by 3 screws.

In order to change the hemp rope / velvet bedding, unscrew these 3 screws and carefully remove the wooden tray from the base of your Bogarel.

Once your new hemp rope / velvet bedding is attached to the wooden tray you received, place it correctly in the steel base and apply gentle pressure to make it fit.

Screw in the 3 screws to secure the wooden tray to the base of the product.

Once your new hemp rope / velvet bedding is attached to a wooden tray you received, place it correctly within the circle formed by the chrome steel tube and then gently press it in.
